Steven Orso is graduate of Port Washington’s Paul D Schreiber high school and was a four year letter on their baseball team. He is currently attending the University of Maryland college park and is a recruited walk-on for the baseball team. He is majoring in communications.
He is a knuckleball pitcher that has worked with such knuckleball greats as Charlie Hough and current CY Young candidate and 20 game major league winner R.A. Dickey. Steven possesses a knuckleball that ranges from 74-80mph similar to that of RA Dickey, with a fastball of 85 MPH and also throws a slider, change up and curve ball. Steven enjoys golf and new business ventures in his free time and has worked with such youth organizations as Port Youth Activities and Prospect Sports to help the next generation with youth development in sports.
